History Of Cat Museum

• It was founded in 1993.
• The museum’s collections were first on display at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak on 1st August 1988 and in 1993 all the collections was moved and display at the present premises.
• Most of the collections found at the Cat Museum are personal collection of Dato 'Shahrum bin Yub, Former Director General, National Museum Department, Kuala Lumpur
• Officially opened by YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak on 25 November 1987.
• The purchase of the cat collection is in line with Kuching's city status in 1988.

About Museum

• At Sarawak there are many attractions to visit. Among them are Cat Museum.
• This is the World's First Cat Museum. In this museum there are a variety of cat sculpture exhibitions that can attract you and your family.
• Cat lovers will find a range of exhibits, photos, feline art and cat souvenirs; over 4,000 of them.
• It is owned by the Kuching North City Hall (DBKU).
• According to Malaysian and Chinese beliefs, the cat is a lucky animal.

• Entrance fee is free but only charged RM3 for camera and RM5 for video camera.
• It is located at Bangunan DBKU, Jalan Semariang, Petra Jaya, 93050 Kuching, Sarawak. About 20 minutes away from the Kuching Waterfront.
• The museum open on Monday to Sunday ( 9am - 5pm ). Its only close on Public Holiday.

Introduction of Visitor Interpretation Visitor

• This video explains briefly about Chapter 1 : Interpretation Foundation.
  
• In Chapter 1 have 4 subtopic:
            1) Define & Objective of visitor interpretation and interpreter.
            2) Career visitor interpretation and interpreter.
            3) Principle visitor interpretation and interpreter.
            4) Roles interpreter.
  
• At the end of the video, it explain about definition of Interpretation and Interpreter.

How To Create A Blog

Steps to create a blog:

1. You must have gmail account to log in. 
2. Put your nickname and URL address.
3. In dashboard which is at your left you can see Posts, Stats, Comments, Earnings, Pages, Layout, Theme and Settings.
4. Go to Posts to create a new post. Click create new post and put your title also what do you want to tell. You can set date and time at Schedule if you don't have time to post everyday. After finish just click button Publish.
5. In Stats you can see how many people read your blog, from where, using what application.
6. If you want to read comment just go to Comments.
7. For Earnings you can get money by placing ads on your website. 
8. If you want to create many pages for your blog you can go to Pages and create new page.
9. In Layout you can adjust arrangement in your blog. You can edit whether you want to put your Pages to make it easier for people to see.
10. You can choose any theme for your blog at Theme. There are various choices you can choose.
11. In addition, you can put image, video and gif.

Definition of interpretation:

• Used by visitor attractions to tell a story about a site's significance and its context such as physical, natural, social aesthetic or spiritual.

 Definiton of interpreter:

• A person who provides an oral translation between speakers who speak different languages.
